Trying to Breathe New Life

I know this community isn't active anymore, but I'm going to try to get it going again.

I've found some great friends here in the past, so I figured I'd give this another go.

My name is Samuel and I am 35 years old from the southern United States. I've been on Livejournal since maybe Feb of 2000. I deleted my old journal and made a new one in 2005, and I've kept it ever since.

A little about me:

At a very young age I was tested and determined to be somewhat of a child prodigy. I went to private school for all of elementary school. I disliked it immensely, but couldn't do much about it. Later I was enrolled in a performing arts school where I studied theater. After graduating high school I went to college and dropped out after my first semester. I had determined at that time that college wasn't for me. I went to work for a startup during the dot com boom, and once the bubble burst I worked for tech companies, such as Nokia, Motorola and later Apple. In 2010 I gave college another try and this time I thrived at it.

As far as what I do now, I write, mostly. I was a podcaster for a couple of years, and I'm currently covering video games for a couple of websites.

- I am a Christian, but I do not shove my beliefs down anyone's throat
- I'm also very liberal.
- Mexican-American.
- I enjoy baseball and will sometimes write about it.
- I love professional wrestling, and some of my best friends are wrestlers.
- Lover of jazz music.
- Huge Tolkien fan
- I love Rihanna and her music. Don't you judge me!
- I like both Star Wars and Star Trek. Is that a crime?

Anything else, just ask.

Add me and I'll add ye back.

TL;DR: I'm a 35 year old Mexican American from the southern U.S. I went to private school growing up and they sucked. I later was a dot com era sucker, then I worked in tech. Now I write about video games. Add me!
